Hola - soy Brigitta

For about 38 years I was teaching children from 10 to 17 at different German schools. Due to my husband’s work we moved several times to different cities. I taught all kinds of classes from low to upper. During my studies I also stayed in Glasgow for a year as an assistant teacher.

What fascinated me most about teaching arts was and still is, that producing good art does not depend on intellectual ability. For the teacher it is most important to create an atmosphere of well-being and positive emotions. I loved to see children being happy doing beautiful pictures whereas in other subjects, such as Maths or Languages they could not be as successful.
But in painting just ANYONE can be creative!!
“Malstudio Paloma”came into life eight years ago, when my husband and I bought a house in Alicante/Spain. The bright colours of the south, the sun and the easy-going life in the warm climate inspired me a lot.We spent a lovely time meeting people from all over the world who came to my studio to have a go at painting. “Fun painting” became a credo.
Yet lately in spite of the good time we were spending, we decided to return to Germany for good – simply missed our family and friends!
My new studio in the mountains called “Eifel” not far from Cologne is sweet and cosy with more space to stay inside, because wintertime in Germany can be hard – no chance to paint outside as we can in the summertime.
I love my new house, especially my new studio, it is so antique and inspiring and I hope to have the same happy painting sessions as I had in Spain in the future. So come to my place and spend the time of your life being an artist!!!
